Status Update

Due to family emergencies and life issues of our translator and proofreader for Lu Bu, there will only be 2 chapters this week which will be posted at the end of Sunday.

As for Waifu, I'm a couple chapters short myself. Sorry, been working my ass off for my side project so that I can finish paying off my credit card :|
I will eventually reveal what the side project is :p. So far I've done like 35 chapters of that though... so yeah... no time for waifu. Sorry guys.

In the meantime, I've fixed my girlfriend's desktop after buying a motherboard and cpu fan. So yeah, some money down the drain but now I have a good computer to do my tasks on :)

Mai Waifu Ch 30

Lo and behold, ch 30 of Mai Waifu. This is my 2nd chapter this week... enjoy. 2 more to go this week. Still haven't fixed my laptop since I didn't have time to do it...

Will be starting driving for lyft/uber next week since I'm way too broke... gotta pay off my credit card debt. Seems like I'm unable to register for my final class this semester, gotta save up for tuition money next semester too....

ps. I'm changing the format of my blog into releases on pages instead of posts ;). Hopefully that allows me to communicate with readers better.

pps. Hope you guys are enjoying Bloodfalcon's release of MTL Lu Bu. I will try to check the translations for accuracy when I have time. (It takes about half the time to translate to check them.... but that's still some 3 to 4 hours.)

My Father in Law is Lu Bu chapter 45 and updates

Tchu have translated chapter 45....

on a sad note, Tchu have decided to drop Lu Bu and focus on Conquest. I will continue on but Lu Bu is really too hard to translate.... So my focus might be shifting toward the other novels too.

As for the lack of releases, sorry about that. I'm half way done with Waifu chapter 30 and VW:CCM ch 4.

My son just had his 4th month shot a couple days ago and have been very cranky and hard to take care of...

Furthermore... My car got keyed by some fag in a Black 2013 Mercedes Benz C350 4matic with Illinois license plate E603844 and last name Chen (found all these online using license plate number, if someone could find me their full name and address, I'd be grateful.). Filed a police report, hopefully they'll be paying for my damages....

Bitch keyed all my doors and the panels around them... a couple thousands worth of damage.

Computer broken :(

My laptop died :(. It basically gets stuck on the loading windows screen and won't turn on.... so yeah... translation will be delayed to maybe 3 chapters a week instead of 5 until I can fix it... which won't be anytime soon since im currently broke... :(

I'll have to translate using my 8 year old ass desktop computer... :\

was going to get ch 44 of Lu Bu out today... but I guess that'll have to be delayed till tomorrow cause I spent the whole day trying to fix my laptop...

Ps. If anyone knows how to fix it it'll be great.

A little bit more information about why I can't fix it or even reinstall my windows...

This laptop is 4 and half years old, hp dv7, my hdd died a couples months back and I replaced it with a ssd,  I cloned my hdd data to the ssd and have been using it for 2 months.

Ssd was performing well until recently when chrome will froze for no reason and my ping for league was all over the place when I re downloaded it. So I ended up not playing league and the chrome issue usually resolves itself after a restart.

Problem with today was that my laptop got stuck in windows loading screen. So I tried doing a safe mode boot to fix the issue. I found out that I don't have system repair in the boot option menu since it's not factory drive. So I tried to do a system restore in safe mode and found out that I actally never turned on restore point in my new drive. So I went and deleted avast and turned off all startup programs that I installed. Still didn't work. Finally decided to do a reinstall of windows but it didn't work either cause it restarted me and once again I got stuck in windows loading screen.

Next I took my sdd out and put my hdd in in hopes of that working and maybe I could reclone my ssd. Didn't work cause my hdd is pretty much dead, it gets stuck on loading screen too. Then I managed to get in safe mode but cloning didn't work... so yeah, I tried everything I know and it doesn't work...


pps. would appear that messing around with the cloning device had wiped my ssd clean... problem now is that it won't clone and my hdd is pretty much dead.... :\

Chapter 33 is out at Paul's site. I have yet to translation check the chapter as I was busy yesterday and today. I believe Paul is currently sleeping or something (GMT +8). We will update the chapter with my translation check later. In the mean time, here's chapter 33 if you can't wait.

You might notice some terminology in his translation that we will be changing later once he wakes up.

General Ping Dong = General who Pacifies the East.

Apologies for the delay

I felt like I should make a post to apologize my delay of a month and half.

I am a graduating 4th year college student set to graduate this summer. However, because I failed a class, my graduation is likely delayed until next year. In the meantime, I was taking 3 summer classes. My delay started with the final exams for my first two summer classes and some real life shit happened. Last week, I finally finished my last summer class. I am currently trying to find a job since I had a kid to take care of now (my son's 4 months old now). In the meantime, I have a bit more time (taking care of your child is like a full time job) now so I will be back on the translation wagon.

I will try my best to catch up to what I have missed. Also, Paul (Tchu) from wuxiaheroes.com decided to collab with me to bring My Father in Law is Lu Bu to you all faster.

Paul and co will be releasing chapters 32 to 34. I will be releasing ch 35 to 37. We will strive to get all the chapters out by this weekend. (I am currently translating ch 35 as I am typing this and Paul's team should have ch 32 out tomorrow).

PS. Major apologies to the donors. I will release the donated chapters (2) once we catch up to this week's goal.

I have a very busy weekend. Some shit happened last Thursday night and I'm currently trying to relax as to not overly stress myself. As for my exam Friday, I didn't know how to do 1 of the 4 exam problems. The other 3 was so-so, not certain if I'm correct.

I know I promised 4 chapters this weekend but because of what happened earlier the week and the fact that I have an CAD assignment due tomorrow midnight in addition to running around doing some errands, I will certainly be late on my 4 chapters. Sorry about this guys. This will just add onto next week's chapters. I will try to get a chapter out tomorrow after I finish my homework.





I overslept my nap yesterday.... ended up sleeping some 13 hours....

Chapter 29, albeit short, was VERY hard to translate. Took me some 4-5 hours to do :\

Currently working on chapter 29 of Lu Bu. This chapter, albeit very shot (2k words as opposed to the usual 3-4k words) was very hard to translate. So expect it in a couple hours.

Also, because of the shortness of the next couple chapters (29,30,31), I will make up for them by translating 3 chapters as opposed of 2. So..... someone tried to MT Lu Bu

It was brought to my attention that someone wanted to MT Lu Bu, said he could chug out 2-3 chapters a day using MT and posted the 'retranslated' first chapter on Wuxiaworld's forum. There's just a couple things I don't get as to why they'll pick My Father in Law is Lu Bu....

1) My Father in Law is Lu Bu isn't that popular compared to some other light novels

2) My Father in Law is Lu Bu is harder to translate compared to some other light novels

3) Why would you think machine translation of My Father in Law is Lu Bu would work?

and.... after reading their translation

4)If you're going to machine translate, why did you produce a lower quality version of my translated chapter 1 while totally copying my translation sometimes? That's right, 'justice warriors' was something that my girlfriend decided to call them when she edited the chapter... also, did you have to post the second half of my translation unedited with your own like that? Bro, at least try?!

5) okay bro, don't go around changing my "SHA" warcry into "KILL" even though it's the same. SHA sounds a lot better than KILL!

6) and good luck chugging 2-3 chapters of MT a day.

Hey guys, if you guys could bring the total amount of user ratings on the mangaupdates page to 100 and also get the total amount of votes (both upvotes and downvotes) to 100 on the reddit light novel page, I'd translate 2 chapters today. rating doesn't have to be 10, just give what you think the novel's worth.

In the meantime, I just woke up. I'll go make some food and will be starting the translation of chapter 28.

Updates

I'm stressed out with school and moving. Moved from first floor to second floor where the room was bigger since I have a kid now. Problem is that I have way too much shit. My back had been killing me every since and I'm still not done moving.

As for school, my finals is next week and I have a presentation Friday. So there you have it, I'm half way finished with a chapter but really don't have time to continue. So just stay tuned, I'll get the next chapter out sometime this Friday when my project's over with. As for the chapter after that, I might or might not do this week. If I don't you guys will get 3 chapters next weekend after I'm done with my finals.
